State now ‘backing corruption’: BNP

The BNP Standing Committee criticized the prime minister's remarks regarding the destruction of 300 homes under the Ashrayan-2 Project. It claimed that the state is now "supporting corruption".

BNP stated that the premier's comment about having the list of people who damaged the houses was tantamount support for the corruption of Awami Liga-backed contractors and partisan bureaucrats involved in the project.

BNP claimed that the AL government gave corruption an institutional shape at a weekly virtual meeting held on Saturday. Yesterday's press release stated this.

The PM claimed that someone damaged the houses given by her government for homeless people. Photos were published by the media showing the broken houses. After an investigation, Hasina claimed that she had obtained the names of the perpetrators.

BNP also condemned statements of the state minister to information on the removal of the museum named after Ziaur Rahman from the Chattogram circuit house.

"People won't accept such a decision."
